Each of the editors can be opened in a completely new and separate window.
See Edit > Open Editor in new window.
The Event List can be detached as a separate floating window by clicking the small icon
in the upper right of the Event List.
The Global Setting > Editors tab lets you tell MusE to always open editors in a separate window.
We did have a request to make the Event List Editor a tab like the other editors.
Although I did not create the tabbed window feature, I think I recall suggesting that the current behaviour
was more ideal - to have the Event List open side-by-side (or bottom) with the pianoroll or drum tab
so that notes and events could be seen at the same time.
Still, users can detach the Event List Editor if they wish.
